Our School

All Saints CEVA Primary School and Nursery Unit

We are extremely proud of our inclusive, inspiring and creative school. All Saints CEVA is an oversubscribed Church of England Primary School for 210 pupils with 52 children attending our nursery provision. The school has strong connections with the Peterborough Diocese and All saints Church. Our mission statement encompasses this:

“With Jesus as our guide we will inspire a passion for learning, high aspirations and respect for all”.

It is of vital importance to us that our children develop a lifelong love of learning through a relevant, creative and fun curriculum, appropriate to the children’s needs and interests. We see the child as a “whole” and it is of paramount importance to us to develop their social, spiritual, moral, cultural, physical and academic wellbeing.

We have 30 wonderful children in each of our 7, single year group classes. We also have a nursery accommodating 52 children aged 3 with their 15 hours free entitlement, 26 children in the morning and 26 in the afternoon.

Recently our Victorian building built in 1880 has undergone substantial refurbishment, turning it into a contemporary, appropriate building able to accommodate a well-resourced 21st century curriculum.

Our intention is simple, we want every child to be happy and excited about coming to school.  We intend to nurture a lifelong love of learning and to ensure that all children reach their highest potential. This is achieved by working in close partnership with parents.

Creativity throughout the curriculum is paramount. Children are wowed by exciting experiences that introduce themes of learning. Our enquiry based curriculum is planned so that connections between subjects are made, ensuring that learning is contextual, relevant and fun.

We recognise that every child is an individual and we tailor learning to suit each child’s needs. The teaching in the school is excellent.

As one of the extensions to our exciting curriculum, children pursue their own aspect of intelligence through “The Totally Brilliant All saints University of Excellence and Enjoyment” in mixed aged groups.  We also enjoy whole school projects and support festivals of worldwide religions. At every turn we enjoy celebrating the children’s achievements with parents who we always work closely with.

We welcome other professionals into school. We work closely with a range creative practitioners. We have peripatetic teachers supporting, woodwind, string, piano and guitar. We have a dancer in residence teaching contemporary dance throughout the school. We have a boys and girls group called Unity Dance”, which are awesome! Our extra curricular activities are also a wide spread part of our school.

Within our school badge and logo is the Latin word “Sursum” meaning “upwards”. This is a crucial message for the whole of our All Saints CEVA community and one that we strive for in all we do.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school for any further information
